" This study examined the moderated mediation effect of a mother¡¯s attitude toward a child¡¯s expressiveness, the child¡¯s executive functioning and the mother¡¯s play participation on the child¡¯s emotional regulation. The study participants included 411 mothers of children aged from 4?5 years. Data were analyzed using models 4, 1, and 7 of the PROCESS Macro. As a result of this research, the relationship of the mother¡¯s attitude toward the child¡¯s expressiveness with the child¡¯s emotional regulation was that this was indeed mediated by the child¡¯s executive functioning. Additionally, the mother¡¯s play participation moderated the relationship between the mother¡¯s attitude toward her child¡¯s expressiveness and the child¡¯s executive functioning. Further, the mother¡¯s play participation according to level had a moderated mediation effect. These results indicate that the mother's play participation has a high correlation with the child's executive functioning and emotional regulation."
